Walmart selects Kula Causes as finalist in the “Get on the Shelf” Contest

For the second year in a row, Walmart has launched its “Get on the Shelf” contest allowing consumers to vote for what they want to see on the shelves of the multinational retailer.

Our client KULA Causes’ giving card was chosen as a finalist from thousands of video submissions as one of the products.  KULA’s giving card connects donors with more than two million charities operating around the world.  Businesses, non-profits and manufactures submitted short videos of products ranging from foaming laptop screen cleaner to natural insect repellent to scented candles.

Choosing a winner is simple.  The finalist with the most votes wins and will appear on the shelves on Walmart and Walmart.com.  Three total products will be chose and the grand prize winner will also receive financial and strategic marketing support.

Last year’s winner grand prize winner was Humankind Water, a non-profit that provides safe drinking water to millions.
