Bjorn Sorenson is Of Counsel to Blue Dot Advocates, PBC, a law firm and public benefit cooperative. Building on six years of corporate experience at Skadden, then as the first General Counsel to the US affiliate of Grameen Bank’s Nobel Prize-winning microfinance program, Bjorn now helps Blue Dot’s team put in place legal frameworks by which impact investors and social enterprises maintain their social missions. He also advises diverse stakeholders in post-conflict and developing countries on complex issues of economic development, investment regulation, international law, and human rights.
Bjorn holds a BA from Western Michigan University, an MTS from Harvard Divinity School, and a JD from American University Washington College of Law, and is licensed in New York and Illinois. He also founded King Spoke Advisors, and as an executive coach he helps social entrepreneurs, established leaders, businesses, students, law firms, and even judges find their values, develop sustainable leadership, achieve enduring impact, and emerge as healthy agents for social change. Bjorn is a Certified Practitioner of the Leadership Circle Profile, a Qualified Teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and a founding Co-Chair of the Mindfulness and Well-Being Committee of the NYC Bar Association.
