Support This Year’s 2013 Unreasonable Institute Class!
227 companies from 47 countries applied for a coveted spot in the 2013 incubator class of our client, The Unreasonable Institute. Of these 200, 14 ventures have earned a spot in this year’s class. Each venture has the potential to scale its impact to better the lives of at least 1 million people.
While these ventures have been accepted, their journey is not yet complete: they still must earn their tuition in order to attend. The $10,000 tuition for individuals accepted (and $12,000 for teams) is crowdfunded from a global community of interested supporters of social enterprise – in other words, you!
The 2013 class includes ventures ranging to from ‘Trash to Cash’, which helps people with disabilities earn a living through craft works, to ‘MPrep,’ which uses mobile technology to make educational tools for remote schools. Each winner has until midnight on Feb. 28th to raise funding for attendance – that’s only 30 days! You can support the ventures by donating through the Unreasonable Marketplace here.
If the entrepreneurs are able to raise the full tuition, they will have the opportunity to spend 6 weeks in Boulder living and learning with their fellow entrepreneurs in the Unreasonable Mansion; to pitch to over 100 investors and 30 impact investment funds, and to work with 50-world class mentors who will visit the Unreasonable Mansion to give their time and advice.
